"When I first began my horticultural studies with the department, my plant knowledge was quite limited. All I knew was that I liked pretty plants, cool bugs, and getting my hands dirty! By the time I graduated, not only had my knowledge of horticulture increased tremendously, but my confidence in creating a career in horticulture had increased. My advisor, the horticulture professors, and the administration staff helped to guide my interests into a career, and I'll always be grateful for that."
