The Department of Horticulture is ready to help you.  Our class sizes are small and our professors will soon know you by name. We'll see you in our 'Green Room' where you will be studying or printing a paper for class or just hanging out with your new friends. We may see you strolling through our teaching gardens that surround our building.  Wherever we may see you, we know you'll feel right at home with our family like atmosphere.  Come for visit and see for yourself.

Horticulture, Landscape and Turf Sciences Major

Our Horticulture, Landscape and Turf Sciences major offers a diverse set of courses that will prepare you for a successful career in horticulture. Within our major, we have focus areas that you may choose to specialize in or you may choose to study in all four areas. Don't worry we can help you figure this out, if you're wanting to learn about plants rest assured you are in the right place.

Horticulture Minor

A Horticulture Minor is ideal for the student who wants gain general horticulture knowledge . You will take courses that will give you an adequate understanding in Horticulture and leave you wanting to learn more.  You can review a course check sheet for this minor here

Landscape Hort. Minor

A Landscape Horticulture Minor is ideal for the student who wants to learn principles of ornamental plant production, plant materials, landscape design, landscape installation and construction and landscape management. You can review a course check sheet for this minor here
